First time on this site. Guess I'm at the 'Introduce Yourself' area. If not, then maybe the moderator will guide and direct. I am a drummer. Began when I was age 7. Studied at Jordon College of Music when I was 14; began playing professionally at age 16. Left the road when I was 30. Burn out. Sold most of my equipmnt, but kept 2 drums and a pair of sticks. Over the years, the objective was to keep myself somewhat performance-ready, ha. Now, have another kit and am bearing down hard. Starting over. Want to be better than when I was peaking. Drumming is both fun and therapeutic as well as necessary to the soul.

Hello all!!! I'm Jim Hoinski and I'm 62 years old and have been playing Bass guitar since I was 8 years old and playing in bands since i was 10. Being the product of a 100% Polish Ancestry, I was relegated to Polka duties at first. Found my real niche in 1966 after listening to Buffalo Springfield and played in rock and roll bands ever since. Always wanted to play "regular" guitar but never got past the strumming a few chords until a couple of years ago when I started taking lessons. By trade, I'm a Registered Professional Nurse with specialties in ER/Trauma and Infection Control. Music is my passion and has always been.
Hello ALL. I'm 57 yrs old. I started out singing in school and church as a kid. Picked up the guitar at 15, started playing clubs at 16 shhh don;t tell anyone ;) I was strongly influenced by Crosby Stills and Nash, Buffalo Springfield, James Taylor, Jim Croce and that general genre.
When I wasn't playing clubs I played in church and was involved in the early Contemporary Christian music Scene when it still raised a lot of eyeborws haha. Christian influences were Mark Heard, Randy Stonehill and most recently Mac Powell. I'm aways up for meeting fellow musicians of all levels. After 42 years in music, I find I still learn something new every day. I hope that never changes. Give me a shout and let me know what your interested in and if you're in my area (Seattle) let's make some music.

I was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio and I now live in Middletown Ohio. I started playing guitar at the age of 13 and I wrote my first original song two years later. I started playing bass guitar in a band called The Lazy Aces in 1988 and stayed with them until 1995. I started recording right after I wrote my first couple songs on a Tascam 4-Track my brother bought me.
Besides a five year break starting around 2003, I have been writing and recording my original material and on April 3, 2015 I finished song number 500 starting from 1990. Although I started on the six string guitar I have always played bass guitar professionally and I also play the keyboard as well as the mandolin. All songs posted on this site were recorded in my small audio workshop in my home from 2012 to 2015.
I married painter, and poet Heather Amy Pawlicki in 2009. Her and I started co-writing songs right away as she wrote lyrics and sang while I wrote the music and produced our songs. Together we created over a dozen songs with some being the best tracks I have ever put together. We divorced in 2015 and I am now taking a much needed break from songwriting, recording and performing.
